Ceredigion Museum

Known in Welsh as Amgueddfa Ceredigion is a museum located in Aberystwyth, Wales. Established in 1972 it is housed in a restored Edwardian theatre and is run by the local County Council. The building was donated by the Cardiganshire Antiquarian Society who in turn gave it to the then newly formed Ceredigion County Council. In 1996, it came under the auspices of the Ceredigion County Council.

The aim of the Museum is to mirror the local history in both archaeological and artistic terms that include costumes, Welsh furniture, farming and agricultural life and of course indigenous art by local artists and those who worked in the area. The collection boasts a large holding of work by Alfred Worthing and other works by Gladys Vasey, George Chapman, Bernard Gribble, Kyffin Williams, Terry Setch and Mabel Pakenham Walsh.
