Chester Gallery

Little-known London gallery established in 1919 in Chester Terrace, Eaton Square in London's now a very exclusive Belgravia district. The gallery exhibited mainly pictures by artists such as John Alsop, Beatrice Bright, E. A. Cox, George Charles Haite, Frederick Hall, Dudley Hardy, Frances Hodgkins, Cedric W. Hodgson, Helen Legard, Carlo Norway and Blamire Young. Interestingly they also showed the work of Polish born poster artists Franz Laskoff (1869-1921) and also birds model by someone known as 'Major Anne'. The gallery was short-lived and lasted only a decade. It appears to have been closed through bankruptcy in September, 1930.
