Dawson Gallery

The Dawson Gallery was established by Leo Smith in 1944 at 4, Dawson Street, Dublin, following his departure from the Victor Waddington Gallery. It continued operations for twenty years until Smith's death in 1977 when it was taken over by John Taylor and renamed the Taylor Galleries. Artists who exhibited there included Fred McWilliam, Pauline Bewick, Muriel Brandt, Kitty Wilmer O'Brien, Anne Madden, Elizabeth Rivers and Colin Harrison.
