Derby Art Gallery

Derby Museum, Library and Art Gallery is housed in a building which was given to the City of Derby by brewing magnate Michael Thomas Bass, 1977-1884. Artists represented include William Austin, Frank Gresley, Alfred Keene, Claude T. Stansfield Moore, Ernest Townsend and WalterTalent. However the most important collection of artwork is undoubtedly that of Joseph Wright (Wright of Derby). His landscapes and portraits and studio ephemera are the largest collection of his work in the world.
