Newport Art Gallery

The acclaimed Newport Art Gallery located in the eponymous south Wales town, contains an impressive permanent collection of important artworks which include paintings, watercolours and modern prints, as well as ceramics. Artists included in the collection are Elinor Bellingham-Smith, Peter Blake, Stephen Conroy, Hans Feibusch, William Russell Flint, Stanhope Forbes, Laura Knight, LS Lowry, Charles Spencelayh, Stanley Spencer, Edward Wadsworth and Carel Weight. Artists of Welsh extraction or who were based in the Principality include Frank Brangwyn, Evan and Felicity Charlton, Harry Holland, Shani Rhys James, Stanley Lewis, James Flewitt Mullock, Peter Prendergast,Thomas Rathmell, Ceri Richards, Kyffin Williams and Ernest Zobole.
