Odette Gilbert Gallery

Odette Gilbert founded her eponymous gallery in Cork Street in the heart of Mayfair in 1980. She not only showed works by the long-established and highly sought after artists such as Frank Auerbach, David Bomberg, Edward Wolfe, Jacob Epstein, Lucian Freud and Picasso. Her gallery also became a show-case for budding talent such as Haidee Becker, Joyce Cairns, John D Edwards, Sandra Fisher, Alexis Hunter and Roy Oxlade, all of whom have gone on to build widely acclaimed reputations.

In 1995 Odette Gilbert closed the Cork Street Gallery to concentrate on advising on acquisitions for a number of private collectors and curating exhibitions in London, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.
