Allied Irish Bank

This renowned collection of Irish art began in 1980 and by the first decade of the millennium possessed over 3,000 pieces, which includes paintings, sculpture, tapestries, drawings, photographs, video and limited edition prints. All branch offices of the Bank both in Ireland and New York, Warsaw, Frankfurt, Paris and the UK have works many of which feature in the Bank's publications on the collections. The organisation has lent out works to public galleries both at home and abroad on a temporary exhibition basis and their head offices in the Dublin suburb of Ballsbridge boasts a giant hare called Nijinsk sculpted by Barry Flanagan.

Other artists represented in the Bank's collection include Bill Crozier, Brian Bourke, Grace Henry, Harry Kernoff, Elizabeth Rivers, Camille Souter, F E McWilliam, Louis Le Brocquy, Mary Swanzy, William Leech, Mainie Jellett, Evie Hone, Norah McGuinness, Letitia Hamilton and Maurice MacGonigal.
