British Society of Master Glass Painters

Founded in 1921, the British Society of Master Glass Painters is unique in that it is the only British organization devoted entirely to the art and craft of stained glass design and production. Its main aim is to encourage high standards in the art and craft of stained glass painting and to enhance ideas and the exchange of information and ideas within its environment. It is also key to the enhancement and preservation of existing stained glass within the UK.

Since 1924 its publication the 'Journal of Stained Glass' has helped these aims. Membership is open to stained glass designers, painters, historians, researchers, conservators and anyone with an interest in stained glass and although UK-based, international membership is growing.
