This renowned Welsh seat of learning was established by Royal Charter in 1883 and architecturally has both modern and listed buildings. Contained therein is a considerable number of paintings from a variety of artists well-known and lesser-known. The collection bears no particular theme and the artists include Welsh nationals such as John Elwyn and Will Roberts and artists who lived and worked in the Principality such as John Wright and Eric Malthouse.
