Oireachtas

Oireachtas is the Gaelic name of the Irish Parliament under whose auspices exhibitions in every field of the visual and performing arts are promoted. The art exhibition has been run by 'Oireachtas na Gaeilg' since 1905 when it was founded on the urging of leading Celtic renaissance enthusiasts like William Butler Yeats. The Oireachtas Art Exhibition attracts over 400 submissions every year from painters and sculptors throughout Ireland and the Celtic Community.
