Windsor Magazine

A popular monthly illustrated magazine which ran from January 1895 to September 1939 with a total of 537 issues. The title page was described it as 'An Illustrated Monthly for Men and Women' and it was produced by Ward Lock & Co.

Writers who contributed included Arnold Bennett, Rider Haggard, Jerome K. Jerome and Edgar Wallace. Artists who were commissioned to illustrate stories included Salomon van Abbé, Harold Copping, Hilda Cowham, Warwick Goble, Maurice Greiffenhagen, Norah Schlegel, Steven Spurrier and Leonard Campbell Taylor. The outbreak of World War II saw the closure of the 'Windsor' which never resumed publication.
