There are also two indoor galleries namely a ‘Bothy Gallery’ and a recently added underground gallery space.

Primarily a teacher training college, it specialised in offering innovative courses in design, music and the visual and performance arts. Alumni include Richard O'Brien, Kay Mellor, Colin Welland, John Godber. In the summer of 2007 all departments closed and moved to Leeds University Campus.
