Cambridge Society of Painters and Sculptors

In Cambridge from circa 1948, Cecil and Elizabeth Collins were part of a circle that included painters Nan Youngman and Elisabeth Vellacott. In 1995 at the instigation of this illustrious quartet the Cambridge Society of Painters and Sculptors came into being. Other members have included John Bolam, Betty Marion Rea, Richard Bray, Christine Fox and Bill Darrell. Exhibitions were held regularly at Kettle's Yard until it ceased to function in the mid-1990's.
