Cartoonists' Club of Great Britain

Inaugurated in April 1960 the Cartoonists' Club of Great Britain held its first meeting at ‘The Feathers' public house close to London’s Fleet street where almost all its members then worked. Since then it has grown into one of the largest cartoonists’ organisation in the world, with a membership of over 200 full and part-time cartoonists in the United Kingdom and abroad. All facets of cartooning are represented from the single gag to multiple strips and caricature illustrations. The Club also holds an enduring body of framed Cartoon work on general theme, called 'The Cartoonists' Exhibition'. Members can contribute to this show at any time. This exhibition is available for a variety of events including links with other arts organisations and galleries or as a fund raising exhibition at charity auctions.
