Suffolk Group

Formed as recently as 1990 by a small group of artists and art teachers who have lived and worked in the county. Their aims are to offer mutual support and to stage whenever possible an annual summer exhibition. These have been based at Southwold, Aldeburgh, Woodbridge, Ipswich, Snape Maltings and other locations in the area. Artists originally involved include Mike Kelly, Richard Scott, Charles Bartlett, Richard Bawden, Bernard Cheese, Olwen Jones, Claire Lambert, Ian Simpson, Valerie Thornton, Joan Ward and her husband Thomas W. Ward. Many more have since exhibited and or have joined this thriving Group.
