Alwin Gallery

The Gallery was established at 56 Brook Street, London, in the heart of Mayfair in 1965 by Philip Herriott, (b. 1957). The gallery initially only dealt with contemporary British sculpture and represented artists like Elizabeth Frink and Lynn Chadwick and the estate of Henry Moore. This was a limited market, and the gallery soon diverged into exhibiting the work of painters and printmakers. When the gallery closed is as yet unknown.

Contemporary painters who exhibited at the Alwin included Olwyn Bowey, William Bowyer, George Chapman, Frank Bowling and Derrick Greaves.
