Centaur Gallery

The Centaur Gallery, based in the Highgate district of North London, was a significant art space, particularly for Polish émigré artists, run by Jan Wieliczko, which was incorporated c. 1952. It was known for its eclectic mix of modern art, Polish culture, and for hosting key exhibitions for the Association of Polish Artists and showcasing Wieliczko's own distinctive sculptures. It operated out of a former abattoir, becoming a central hub for exiled Polish visual arts for decades. Artists who exhibited there included Stanisław Frenkiel and Marian Kościałkowski.
