Clifford Gallery

The gallery is thought to have started dealing in 1895 and was run by art dealers and print publishers Charles Edward Clifford (1822-1903) and William Batley. According to an historical map of London galleries, the Clifford Gallery was a notable venue, operating from several locations over the years. These include 21 Haymarket (c. 1895–1910), 12 Bury St, St James's (1911–1913), 3 Regent St (1914–1922), and 8 Albany Street (1923–1933). It is sometimes referred to as the Clifford Galleries.
