Portland Gallery
The Portland Gallery is a London art gallery founded in 1984 by Tom Hewlett. Located in Bennet Street in the St. James's area of the capital, it specialises in Modern British and contemporary paintings. Following Hewlett's retirement in 2022, the gallery is now managed by Jamie Anderson and is owned by an Employee Ownership Trust. The gallery has been a leading dealer in Modern British Art since its inception and has a reputation for championing the works of the Scottish Colourists. The gallery has also exhibited the works of a wide range of both established and emerging contemporary artists, including Mary Fedden, Ken Howard, and Edward Seago. The gallery hosts more than a dozen exhibitions a year, and also participates in leading art fairs, including the London Art Fair and the British Art Fair.
