Sue Rankin Gallery

The Sue Rankin Gallery was a commercial art gallery in London that operated from the mid-1980's to the early 1990's, specialising in living British artists. The gallery opened its first exhibition in February 1986 at its London Fulham location. By 1992, the gallery had moved to Ledbury Road in the Notting Hill district of London. In 1993, the Sue Rankin Gallery merged with the long-established Thackeray Gallery. The owner of the Sue Rankin Gallery, Anne Thomson (sometimes referred to as Anne Thomson-Rankin), took over the Thackeray Gallery following the retirement of its founder, Priscilla Thompson. Anne Thomson combined aspects of both businesses, but retained the Thackeray Gallery name and its location. The merged entity was sometimes quoted as the Thackeray Rankin Gallery.
