Loughborough College of Art
Loughborough College of Art began as evening art classes in 1891, later becoming the School of Art and integrated into what briefly became known as the Loughborough Technical Institute in 1909. It evolved through various names and departments within Loughborough College until becoming a separate entity in 1951. In 1966, it relocated to a site adjacent to Loughborough University. The College of Art and Design became an independent higher education institution in 1989 and later merged with the university in 1998.
