East Anglian Group of Marine Artists

Founded in 1979 by artists both amateur and professional all with the primary interest of marine subject matter concentrated on the east coast of Great Britain. The inaugural exhibition was held in Ipswich early the following year. Several members are also members of, or have exhibited with, RSMA and the Wapping Group. They include Ken Denton, Andrew King, Ray Leech, Fred Beckett and Alan Runagall. Limited to only 25 members the Group hold bi-annual exhibitions one of which is usually held at the Mall Galleries and has also shown at Thompson's Gallery in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.. The group has recently established an association with Mandell's Gallery in Norwich, holding the first of its major annual exhibitions in June 2013.
